Gen Y and the World of Work

Hays really is different to other Career Transition providers and has led the innovation on a number of areas. See below a synopsis of what leads to our success.

We are part of Hays Specialist Recruitment

UK Office Network
Having a network of 110 U.K offices, more than any other provider, we can genuinely provide a local service for our clients. All of our office locations have private consultation rooms where employees can benefit from their confidential career discussions with our experts.

Online Career Transition
Hays has embraced technology and has developed the most engaging, comprehensive and interactive online programme available that many organisations now use as a stand-alone Career Transition resource.

Being client branded, and with an introductory message in your own words, you are providing your employees with a more personal approach than typical e-learning programmes.

The interactive, expert training will guide them through the entire job seeking process from start to finish, giving employees the benefits of over 50 years of employment experience to gain a significant competitive advantage in the current market.

Quality of coaching material
Utilising our market intelligence our programmes are written by a former experienced recruitment expert and member of the CIPD who has twinned this pragmatic, first hand experience of the world of work to design our unique coaching and workshop content. As the market changes so does our advice and materials, unlike providers who use standardised material.

Outstanding feedback
Our delivery team are a unique blend of coaching and resourcing experience, having spent time in industry as well as being qualified, accredited career coaches. Fusing this pragmatic approach with first class coaching we are able to be flexible and creative in our training and coaching approaches. Coaches undergo regular supervision and a rigorous interview and reference process before being appointed.

We are rightly proud of our current employee feedback with an outstanding 100% rating our 1:1 support as very good/excellent and 95% rating our group support as very good/excellent.

Thought leadership & publications
In partnership with the London Chamber of Commerce, Hays has published the report ‘Transitioning from the public to private sector’, to support individuals in successfully making this transition. We conducted extensive research with the London Chamber of Commerce to investigate the key issues, obstacles and enablers in making this transition. Almost 500 public employees, 500 Hays consultants and a similar number of private sector employers were surveyed in addition to several focus groups and indepth interviews. From this unique intelligence, we have developed training around the key factors in managing this successful transition.
