Local Social Care Professionals in Demand

Hays Social Care, the UK’s leading specialist recruitment consultancy, has opened a new office in Edinburgh so that it can better meet the needs of local people.  It has opened on Charlotte Square in Edinburgh in response to continued demand from the Social Care sector.

There are currently a high percentage of Social Care specialists based in the area, and those with relevant skills and experience are high in demand. The new office will cater for highly sought after Qualified Social Workers and Social Care Workers in all grades and specialties. This demand is largely due to a national shortage of qualified social workers and specific support workers with experience within Children & Families. Temporary workers are particularly in demand in this sector where employers appreciate that they cannot afford to run with an understaffed team, and therefore temporary workers are seen as essential to their service.
