ENERGY CREATES EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES IN MANCHESTER
Hays Energy, a specialist recruitment consultancy, continues its expansion as it opens a new office in Manchester. The Manchester office on Portland Street joins existing operations in Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Bristol and London.
“Huge growth in the energy industry in and around Manchester is extremely positive for workers in the area” says Mark Goodwin, manager of Hays Energy. The North West has become a key player in the energy market with many nuclear and fossil power stations in the area, including the UK’s largest petrochemical plant at Stanlow.
Hays Energy has grown so much that a local office was necessary to cope with the increased demand for industry professionals. Nuclear safety engineers, chartered civil engineers, and process engineers are all highly sought after and those with experience will find themselves in great demand.
Mark Goodwin, manager of Hays Energy says: “Many of the key consultancies working in the energy sector have bases in Manchester, including Parsons Brinckerhoff and Atkins, and we are pleased to be joining them in the area. We are very excited by the opportunities here and are looking forward to finding jobs for people in such a fantastic city and across the region – having a local office close to the action will definitely help us to achieve this’’.
