Location: Oldbury, West Midlands
Start Date: November 2025
Contract Type: Full-Time, Term-Time Only – Maternity Cover
Salary: Dependant on experience, Competitive

About the role:
We are currently working with a welcoming and supportive Ofsted rated “Good” primary school in Oldbury who are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated professional to make a real impact by supporting SEN children in Lower Key Stage 2 through targeted interventions on a 1.1 and small group basis. SEN needs include moderate learning difficulties, behavioural support, communication, speech and language delays. No personal care required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Delivering 1:1 and small group (up to 6 children) interventions across Year 3 and Year 4
  • Supporting pupils with moderate learning difficulties, speech, language and communication delays and behavioural needs/issues
  • Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored learning plans
  • Promoting positive behaviour and engagement in learning
  • Providing general classroom support when required

Requirements:
  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification required (UK Recognised)
  • Proven experience delivering intervention support in a primary school setting on a 1.1 and small group basis
  • Strong understanding of SEND and effective behaviour management strategies and techniques
  • Confident working independently and as part of a team
  • A nurturing, patient, and proactive approach to supporting children’s learning
  • Strong level of spoken and written English
  • Strong understanding of Maths/Numeracy
