If you are looking to join a friendly and supportive group of people committed to the success of the youngsters they work with, then Valley is the school for you!
We pride ourselves on our well-established and successful system of open collaborative leadership and management, with a firm emphasis on teamwork and self-evaluation. All teaching and support staff are involved in thorough, detailed planning and communication is highly effective. The development of Learning and Teaching is at the forefront of everything we do – we see ourselves as a strong learning organisation.
The future for Valley is both challenging (it always is in progressive schools) and exciting. We are now occupying a brand new campus encompassing a post 16 Centre (in partnership with another school and the local FE college) and a Leisure Centre (in partnership with the District Council) as well as the 11 to 16 section of the school. Our Technology College status has significantly affected the whole school design along with large circulation spaces to promote a positive climate for learning.
I am honoured and privileged to be able to lead and develop further the education of children at Valley School. It is a fantastic place with which to be involved and with our brand new and ‘ICT’ rich campus I believe the school is going from strength to strength. We welcome applications from colleagues at all stages in their career, including those seeking to gain QTS. We place a high priority on staff development and have a strong and very successful INSET and induction programme. We invite you to visit us so that you can see the school at work and see for yourself the opportunities open to you at Valley.
Visitors and prospective candidates for posts are always welcome to the school where they will receive a warm welcome from staff and students alike. I look forward to welcoming you to the school.
