This is an opportunity to join a fresh and exciting joint venture between United Utilities and Severn Trent and be part of a team to shape our market approach from the start. We are joining forces to set innovative standards for the water industry as a new business Water Plus. You will be located in a brand new office, in a central location with excellent transport links and on-site parking.

Your new role

Water Plus is hiring a dynamic and experienced marketing communications professional to join their team as Communications Executive. As Communications Executive for Water Plus you will be responsible for producing much of the organisation’s communications collateral both external and internal. This will include writing copy for newsletters briefings and intranet pages and working closely with stakeholders across the business. Key accountabilities include: Strategic and Brand Communications, External Communications and PR, Internal Communications, Content and Publications, PR and Media, Campaigns, and Event Management. Success of the role depends on the ability to deliver communications on time and budget against set KPIs.

What you'll need to succeed

As Communications Executive you must have all-round general communications knowledge and experience across a range of marketing communications and PR disciplines. You will be results oriented and self-motivated with considerable experience of B2B communications. You must have a proven track record of success supporting communications plans and events. You will also have tracked communications, dealt with the Media and have experience of working with print and design companies in a previous role. Being proactive, self-motivated and ambitious is also important to succeed as Communications Executive. You will also be highly IT literate and have great communications skills and strong time management. This is an excellent opportunity at a very exciting time for the business.
