The Pensions Advisory Service

Introduction

Thank you for expressing an interest in the Pensions Advisory Service (TPAS). We provide a free, independent and non-regulated information and guidance service to the public on all pension matters.

Pensions are important to all of us - irrespective of age, gender and employment status – often presenting complex political, social and economic issues. This can result in confusion and anxiety for many. TPAS is here to help solve pension problems by its qualified staff supported by a national network of volunteer advisers. Over one million people used our website, national helpline or wrote to us in the last 12 months.

Forthcoming challenges for TPAS include extending our reach to engage those between the ages of 25 and 45, exploiting new communications channels, building our volunteer network, supporting the Government’s Money Guidance initiative and the introduction of auto-enrolment to occupational pension schemes.

We're looking for board members that can help shape our strategy, contribute ideas and want to make a difference to society – an ethos that underpins our roots as an organisation.

I look forward to receiving your application.
