We aim to provide safe, clean and personal care for patients.
Becoming a Foundation Trust is a great achievement and we believe we will be able to use our new freedoms to work with public and staff members to help us provide even better care for our patients.
Patients are at the centre of all our activities and our vision is to ensure everything we do adds value to the patient experience and helps in some way, small or large to make it more effective, efficient, convenient, safer and more centred around the needs of our patients.
We are working hard to deliver this vision by focusing on eight key areas:
Salford Royal has been rated best in the North West for the second year running and one of the best 17 hospitals in the country.
The Healthcare Commission, which independently assesses Trusts, has rated the quality of our services as being excellent and excellent value for money in the 2007 Annual Health Check. This is the highest rating that can be achieved in the NHS.
Last year, Salford Royal also became the second hospital in the country to receive the highest award for standards of patient safety.
Salford Royal has also set itself ambitious goals for the coming year including:
The hospital has been shortlisted for the clinical service redesign award for its pioneering project which has seen waiting times for neuroscience services fall dramatically.
It is also shortlisted for the improving care with e-technology award for how it has improved the efficiency of its outpatient services
