Thank you for your interest in the North Wales Police Authority (NWPA) and the opportunity we have to recruit a new Chief Executive.
The Police Authority is the bridge between local communities across North Wales and the Police. We work closely in partnership with North Wales Police to make sure that the people who live here are policed in the way that they want - and the way that they deserve. Together, we have ensured that North Wales Police is one of the best performing forces in the UK. A big part of our role is to be a critical friend in every single aspect of policing, from setting the budget, through planning policing priorities and diversity matters and upholding professional standards.
Our aim is to work with our local communities and partners to secure the highest quality policing service, in order to create a better, safer North Wales.
We currently seek a motivating and inspiring leader, capable of leading the process of scrutiny and engagement with the North Wales Police force, working closely with our Members and the Chief Constable to maintain and improve the quality of policing in our region. We are interested in your ability to demonstrate a track record of leadership, strategic thinking, stakeholder engagement, tight financial control and a robust approach to performance management. The ability to communicate well at all levels both within the organisation and with external partners is key.
Credible at board level, you should be enthused by the opportunity that this appointment presents to make a tangible contribution to our community.
The role is a critical one for our region and our policing services - we very much hope that you are equally excited by this opportunity. If you possess the experience and passion to contribute to our vision for the future then we'd like to hear from you.
Please take the opportunity to review the information provided, upon doing this should you have any further questions, our retained consultant, David Cairncross of Hays Executive, will be happy to help, their contact details can be found on the 'how to apply' page.
