About us

The Heath is the highest performing school in Runcorn, described by OFSTED as “truly outstanding” in 2010.

The Heath is a highly successful 11-16 comprehensive school with almost 1,100 students on roll, supported by outstanding teaching and support staff which results in greater personalisation of learning and outcomes for all students.

The Heath is an extremely popular school, attributable to its ‘In The Business of Learning’ culture in every aspect. There is an ordered, disciplined, and respectful environment. There are extremely positive relationships within the school, with parents / carers and the local community.

Our excellent results and the improvements we have sustained in recent years reflect our ability to successfully prepare our students for the next phase of their lives. Our students make excellent progress, regardless of their starting point.

We are extremely proud to be an inclusive school, we offer a range of support services to our students to meet academic and pastoral needs and we are also able to meet the needs of students with a physical and / or medical impairment.

The Heath Teaching School

The Heath School Runcorn was one of the first 200 schools to be designated as a National Teaching School in April 2012.
