Welcome to Harris Boys' Academy, East Dulwich

Welcome from the Principal

The Harris Boys Academy, East Dulwich opened in September 2009 in temporary accommodation at Langbourne Primary School where we will spend our first year. Our brand new building, which has been designed by award winning architects, is currently being constructed and will be available from September 2010. As an Enterprise and Sports Academy, we aim to provide a culture of high expectations and aspirations for every student, with specialist facilities to create a pleasant and high quality learning environment.

Throughout our 11-19 Academy we will demonstrate a commitment to achieving an enterprising environment supported by a sporting culture of ‘personal best’ by developing flexible and creative approaches to teaching and learning, which will raise standards for all.

We aim for our young people to be the entrepreneurs, scientifically aware and confident responsible citizens of the future.

I strongly believe that children learn best when they feel stretched, nurtured and engaged. We promote hard work, integrity and good manners, whilst encouraging a spirit of fun and adventure.
