POWERING THE WORLD OF WORK

London borough of Ealing

Ealing is one of London’s largest boroughs and is a fascinating microcosm of the city as a whole, containing characteristics of both inner and outer London all in one place. That brings all of the opportunities and challenges of being reflective of a world class city.

The Council itself is already a high-performing organisation, demonstrating rapid and sustained improvement over several years. Most importantly, residents’ satisfaction – the ultimate test of our performance – has risen significantly in recent years and 80% of our residents now think we are doing a good job.

But this is no more than a good start to achieving our ambitions for Ealing. We want to be the highest-performing local authority, better than anyone else on any rounded measure. Crucially, we aim to ensure that the highest levels of residents’ satisfaction are achieved across all, not just some, aspects of what we do.

Located in the heart of West London it comprises seven districts – Ealing, Southall, Hanwell, Acton, Northolt, Perivale and Greenford. Each of these areas has unique characteristics, and together they form one of the most vibrant and diverse communities in Britain.

It is within easy reach of central London as well as providing easy access to the towns and countryside of the South East and beyond. Ealing has thriving arts and leisure facilities and more than eight square kilometres of parks and green spaces. As one of London’s busiest boroughs, there are all the recreational facilities you would expect in a lively metropolitan centre, with museums, a local theatre, cinemas, galleries and an eclectic mix of restaurants and bars to choose from.
