The Role
Marketing Manager
Preston, £40- 45,000 + Allowance
The Marketing Manager role is an exciting new opportunity within the business and has come about due to the exciting plans for growth they have for the coming years. Reporting directly into the Chief Executive, the successful applicant will play a key part in the development of strategy as well as in the identification of new areas for the business to grow. This will include the responsibility for developing and maintaining marketing strategies to meet agreed company objectives, evaluate customer research, market conditions, competitor data and implement marketing plan alterations as needed. Basically co-ordinate all Bako marketing, advertising and promotional activities and maintain the development and integrity of the Bako brand. This is a standalone role to begin with and the scope to build a team around you.
Key Responsibilities:
- To develop an annual marketing plan in conjunction with the Regional Companies, in relation to monthly promotional brochures, advertising, price lists, wall planner, sponsorship and exhibition strategy
- To deliver all marketing activity within the agreed budget
- To manage the Bako website
- To manage all aspects of price list production, receipt and distribution, and funding
- To achieve frequent, timely and positive media coverage across all available media
- To conduct market research in order to identify market requirements for current and future products
- To manage Bako trademarks
- To co-ordinate relationships with Agencies in all Bako companies
Candidate Specification
- Experience with a company in a related industry sector (preferably food)
- Experience of developing, maintaining and delivering on marketing strategies to meet company objectives
- A strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements
- A proven ability to oversee all marketing, advertising and promotional activities
