Our supporters are outraged by human rights abuses but inspired by hope for a better world - so we work to improve human rights through campaigning and international solidarity.
We have more than 2.2 million members and subscribers in more than 150 countries and regions and we coordinate this support to act for justice on a wide range of issues.
Working with and for individuals the world over, we campaign so that every person may enjoy all of the human rights enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The International Secretariat, which operates from a number of sites around the world, gathers and communicates accurate and action-oriented human rights information globally. The Secretariat provides strategic leadership, support and advice to the AI movement world wide, fostering AI’s contribution, presence and public accountability throughout the world.
