Welcome from the Headteacher

I joined Hardwicke School in September 2007 and inherited an already outstanding school from my predecessor. My task is therefore to build upon our good practice and find ways to lead and support the continued development of the school. Our school is a truly exciting place to work. We are fortunate to have such a hard-working and committed staff team who collaborate and support each other to provide the best possible opportunities for the children at the school. If you are interested in engaging with young people in a dynamic way to explore the possibilities of the learning process then our school is the place for you. I firmly believe that learning should be fun and exciting with real meaning and relevance for the children. For me, this comes down to establishing an ethos where positive values are promoted; where the support is such that it is OK to try and fail; where staff and pupils feel good about what they are doing and where ultimately everyone feels they can achieve success – how ever this is shown. Respect for yourself and for others is central to this idea and this is embodied in our school motto “Love your neighbour as you love yourself”. As a member of our staff team, in return for your ongoing commitment, we will provide you with any support necessary for you to advance your career and develop professionally.

If our school sounds like the sort of place you would like to work then please do get in touch. We would like to hear from you.
