Principal Structural Engineer - Team Lead

A premier Engineering Service Provider have established an urgent requirement for a Principal Structural Engineer to build and develop a specialist team of engineers in Fixed Structures in a client facing role.
The role will involve Leading the fixed structural team focusing on design appraisal of offshore fixed assets such as jackets and topsides. Additionally to being the Structural lead on major projects you will be responsible for the development of the engineers as well as business objectives.
Other Responsibilities:
Allocate resources and assign tasks to team members
Ensure high quality and timely delivery to our clients
Design reviews to ensure compliance with relevant Regulations
Independent analysis of structures
Maintain good communications with clients and designers
Prepare bids in response to tenders.
Requirements:
-Chartered Engineer;
-Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering;
-You must have proven track records of team leadership qualities and experience,
-Substantial experience covering: jacket and topside analysis, design and fabrication.
-Specifically, you will need to have acquired an in-depth understanding of design codes, Project management and coordination capabilities;
-Topsides experience in fire, blast & dropped objects design;
-Prior direct experience of design appraisal and a higher level of relevant academic qualification would be an advantage.
