A premier Inspection organisation well known in the critical safety and risk management industry is currently looking to recruit for a Surveyor/ Assessor/ Inspector.
The Surveyor / Assessor / Inspector will review design/production/in-service aspects of engineering assets in the upstream, downstream, equipment manufacturing and energy markets using established procedures, experience and knowledge appropriate for routine situations.
The Surveyor / Assessor / Inspector will be working on a diverse portfolio of projects and with global leaders in the oil & gas, equipment manufacturing and energy markets.
This role is based in Dortmund, Germany and the main focus will be laid on service in accordance to local German legislation.
Your key responsibilities will be:
To perform assessments and provide advice for service delivery within agreed parameters those include budget constraints and contractual requirements.
To produce the deliverable within the agreed parameters in a defined format.
To discuss/ present the deliverable with the external client and be able to suggest alternative solutions where appropriate
Undertake routine administration as required in line with current processes and procedures.
To assess/ recommend the time/value of the work to be undertaken for an external client within an agreed fee/cost structure
To pursue Continuous Professional Development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness
Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, accreditation schemes, legislation and industry standards.
To give guidance to other employees, as appropriate, and disseminate information to achieve effective knowledge transfer and application
To assist in service delivery improvement by communicating internal/external client feedback as appropriate.
Enter inspection details and updates in the pressure equipment databases and tools
Comply with the company’s QA/QC procedures
Preparation of certificates, reports and expert opinion reports if required
To assess/recommend the time/value of the work to be undertaken for an external client with in agreed fee/cost structure and issue quotations up to an agreed limit and standard terms and conditions
Participate and contribute to internal knowledge exchange workshops and toolbox talks
Participate as project team member in multidiscipline projects
Competent in written and spoken German and English
Have a Masters, or at least a Bachelors, degree in mechanical engineering, process engineering, materials or science
Ideally qualified as EWE/IWE
Minimum two year experience in operating, manufacturing, designing or inspecting pressure equipment
Basic knowledge of major NDE techniques
Basic knowledge of use of materials and welding
Basic knowledge of national and international codes, standards and directives for pressure equipment
Ideally holder of a valid driving licence
Competent in using PC and MS office programs
