Last week, over 35 of Reading's leading finance professionals met to discuss the concept of leadership in the current climate, in a forum hosted by Hays Senior Finance, the leading recruiting expert. The event was held at The Business Centre in Green Park and representatives from leading local and global businesses were in attendance.
Speakers included Paul Venables, Group Financial Director at Hays, the FTSE 250 global business; Venables shared his expert insight into how to maximise your impact as a finance director. Gary McArdle, ex-Finance Director of Hanson Aggregates, spoke about leadership in turbulent times. In addition, Robert Holland and Alex Peal, from Reading-based practice James Cowper, shared their thoughts on the leadership challenges facing the practice sector.
