Corporate Tax Adviser working for a well established accountancy firm based in Manchester City Centre

Your new firm

Your new firm is a well known and established accountancy practice who have 2 offices with their main hub based in Manchester City Centre. A growing firm of 80 staff with 60 based in Manchester they operate in a traditional general practice model covering a variety of service lines. The Manchester office cover audit, accounts, taxation, payroll and bookkeeping, supporting a range of OMB/SME clients across the North West. They are now looking to bring in a corporate tax adviser to assist with corporate tax advice in their Manchester office portfolio.

Your new role

In your new role you will be the go-to Corporate Tax Adviser for the Manchester office, taking responsibility for all corporate tax queries. The portfolio of clients you will be supporting is a mixed one, made up of a good amount of OMB/SME style clients along with some large corporates. This is a mixed role where you will be responsible for delivering complex corporate tax compliance services as well as getting involved in and taking a lead on ad-hoc tax advisory matters. You handle direct contact with clients and liaise with HMRC to ensure all clients are compliant with current tax legislation. You will be joining a wider tax team of 8 across the Manchester office and be the main corporate tax point of contact for the firm in Manchester.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role you need to come from a strong corporate tax background, either being CTA/ACA/ATT qualified, or qualified by experience. You need to be confident preparing, submitting and reviewing corporate tax computations as well as having experience advising clients on various corporate tax advisory projects. You need to have UK tax experience and be familiar with OMBs.
