Membership & CRM Executive, Charity, South Cambridgeshire, Perm role, up to c£35,000 plus hybrid working

Hays Marketing & Communications is very proud to be working in partnership with The United Kingdom Science Park Association (UKSPA) who are a not-for-profit membership organisation based at Chesterford Research Park, in South Cambridgeshire and founded in 1984. This is a brand-new pivotal and exciting role for a Membership & CRM Executive to join their team and to help raise the profile of UKSPA and their members.

UKSPA represents, promotes and supports a diverse network of over 200 member organisations, which includes science parks, research campuses, city-based innovation districts, technology incubators and innovation centres across the UK. These members operate in different fields, with different funding and investment profiles, but together deliver enormous added value to the companies that occupy space or participate in member activities.

As the Membership & CRM Executive, you will work closely with and support the Events and Marketing Manager. Your main duties will be managing all the membership administration, CRM maintenance, web content management and marketing automation. Raising purchase invoices & credit notes, reconciliation and debtor management. You will have strong experience of using Microsoft 365 applications, CRM and Membership tools, WordPress, Mailchimp and SurveyMonkey.

The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic and motivated self-starter who has an eye for detail, can multitask, work to deadlines and take the initiative and provide excellent customer service to their members.

Essential skills and experience required:
  • Previous experience of working in a Membership CRM Administrator role
  • Highly skilled in Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
  • Experience of marketing automation tools (Mailchimp) and using SurveyMonkey
  • Experience of CRM/Membership Management Systems Administration
  • Experience of website content management systems (WordPress)
  • Experience of providing high quality customer service
  • Experience of general bookkeeping practice, sales invoicing, debtor control, bank rec and cloud finance systems (Xero)
  • Knowledge of science & technology innovation ecosystems, business support (desirable but not essential)

  • The UKSPA office is located at the renowned Chesterford Research Park in South Cambridgeshire. The Park offers a range of facilities, including access to a fitness centre, restaurant and bar, and a golf course on the site. There are also available meeting rooms and conference facilities on the site.
