Bid Manager - Warrington / hybrid £45k- £60k salary plus package in the nuclear sector

Your new company

You will be joining an international consultancy who specialise in a mix of Business Units, including Mining, Chemistry and Enrichment, Recycling, Decommissioning and Services, Nuclear Packages and Services, and Projects. These activities are of strategic importance to the nuclear sector and nuclear installations around the world. They have a workforce of 16,000 employees. They bring together nuclear fuel cycle engineering expertise to serve the group’s facilities and external customers. It s services range from Operational Support Engineering to full Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Management (EPCM) missions. Due to growth they are looking for a Bid Manager to join the team in Warrington to be responsible for developing responses to PQQ’s, bids and proposals through the formal ITT / RFQ/P process.


Your new role

  • Reviewing client documentation for completeness.
  • Supporting the PQQ activity and qualification processes.
  • Responding to Requests for Quotations
  • Maintaining the central library of information and support material.
  • Attending bid planning meetings.
  • Assisting in the development of the story-board process.
  • Able to develop written content / bid responses.
  • Managing the tender preparation and response process on small bids.
  • Managing bid teams and input from a variety of stakeholders.
  • Negotiating with and managing subcontractor and supplier inputs .


What you'll need to succeed

Hold a degree plus a minimum of 4 years relevant experience. Ideally, some nuclear experience but not essential.

A track record in bid management

Communication skills – ability to confidently liaise with external stakeholders and team members, both oral and written.

Proactivity – ability to independently seek out or develop one’s own answer to challenging technical questions.
