Your new role

As a Management Accountant, you will play a key role in providing accurate and timely financial information to support strategic decision-making. You will be responsible for preparing monthly management accounts, budgets, and forecasts, delivering variance analysis, and advising budget holders across the Organisation. The role also involves maintaining balance sheet reconciliations, supporting external audits, and ensuring compliance with VAT and financial regulations.

What you'll need to succeed

• Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) or equivalent experience.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience of managing accounts.
• Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with financial systems (e.g., Sage or ERP).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills to influence and support non-finance stakeholders.
• Experience in higher education or public sector finance is desirable but not essential.
