It has come to our notice that an email campaign from haysrecruits@gmail.com has been soliciting the following personal information we believe for the purpose of identity theft:
We wish to make clear the haysrecruits@gmail.com email has no association with any Hays Group company and we strongly advise that you do not respond to these unsolicited requests for personal information. The scam has been reported to the FBI in the United States for investigation. If you have received any unsolicited email from haysrecruits@gmail.com or from any other email address requesting disclosure of personal information, or if any email is otherwise suspicious, please forward it to: ir@hays.com.
Hays routinely requests and receives CVs from potential candidates. Please check that the email address ends in @hays.com before sending personal information to Hays.
We have been made aware of a fraud in the United Kingdom involving the website ‘hays-international.eu’ by persons calling themselves ‘Hays International Recruitment Ltd’, which involves the levy of candidate registration fee. Having paid the registration fee, victims are then directed to on old Hays office address in Carteret Street, London, which is vacant, and further sums have been removed from some victims’ bank accounts.
Hays has no association with the website hays-international.eu and steps are being pursued to take it down. ‘Hays International Recruitment Ltd’ does not exist in the United Kingdom and those persons involved are under investigation by the Metropolitan Police.
We wish to make clear that under no circumstances should candidates pay any fee to register with an employment agency. If you have done so, or if you have had any contact with the website hays-international.eu, you are advised to contact the Metropolitan Police on 0300 123 1212.
