Distance learning

I was doing voluntary work in a school and wanted to fulfil my ambition of working as a Teaching Assistant, so I decided to study for the BTEC Teaching Assistant Level 2 qualification.  I studied with ICS because I knew they provided the quickest way of getting the qualification: I was able to gain the qualification in half the time it would have taken had I gone to college!

I really enjoyed working at home at my own pace – it was extremely handy and the course was very easy to follow, and I had a personal tutor on hand all the way through my course.  I also enjoyed ICS’s Student Community and made many friends on the forum who were doing the same course as myself – that helped a lot.

The school at which I was volunteering recently offered me a job as a Teaching Assistant!  What’s more, I’m now considering other courses that will help me further my career.

I had been frustrated in my job, and I wanted to better myself.  I had discussions with friends and family and decided to take a course in Surveying and Estimating.  I chose ICS because they allowed me to earn and learn at the same time.

I enjoyed the structure of the course and liked knowing that I had a tutor if I needed help.  I would definitely recommend ICS to others because of their flexibility, payment arrangements and support.

Halfway through my course I applied for a position at a world-renowned and multiple award winning consultancy – and got it!  I have since moved elsewhere and now have a personal development plan in place with the full support of my employer.

I had been trying to get a position in Human Resources but couldn’t as I didn’t have any experience – it was a vicious circle.  I decided to complete my Certificate in Personnel Practice to give me the "edge" I needed.

I had heard ICS were good, and they provided a course I could afford, so I enrolled with them.  I loved the whole course!  I learnt so much and discovered that I really do have a passion for HR!

I passed with distinction, and within 4 weeks of completing my course I was offered a fixed term contract in HR to gain experience.  3 years on I now have a full time job in HR, my dream career.  I am earning really good money now – mainly due to the fact that I have a qualification that is recognised in my field.

I would definitely recommend ICS.  If you are looking for something to do in your spare time or to enhance your career, enrolling with ICS is one of the best choices you can make!

ICS Graduate – ‘Child Psychology’

I was already working with children and I thought it would be interesting to study Child Psychology. As I did not have enough time to go to college, a distance-learning course with ICS seemed like a very good option for me. I have been able to study at my own leisure and not worry about deadlines. I would recommend ICS to anyone and actually have done, as it is such a flexible way to learn.

ICS Graduate – ‘Adv. Diploma in Refrigeration, Heating and Air Conditioning’

I wanted to gain a nationally recognised qualification from an organisation who I trusted and who were also competitive on price. The flexibility of the course meant that I was able to work from home and this was much more suitable to my way of working. With help from ICS, I got my first distinction grade and my C.V. is now much more impressive – I am one of the highest qualified AC engineers on my companies books!
