Hays Information Technology partners with Nov8

A recent Hays survey found that 85% of IT professionals thought onboarding services such as coaching and mentoring are crucial for the cultural assimilation of new hires. However, only 29% felt that the coaching and mentoring that they had been offered was very effective.

To respond to this need, Hays IT is working in partnership with Nov8 – the specialist people, team and cultural development consultancy – to ensure that newly appointed senior IT professionals can successfully establish themselves within their new organisation.

Nov8 logoThis process begins even before the candidate is selected for the job. From the initial stages, their cultural fit is identified, as are the skills gaps and aspirations of the team they are joining. Candidates are profiled using cultural assessment tools before interview and at interview stage.

Once appointed, Nov8 works to help the new starter to identify the values, behaviours and a leadership style that will complement the existing team and business; they are also given one-to-one transformational coaching sessions throughout their initial period of employment.
