Regional focus: West Midlands Education Jobs

There are a wide variety of schools and colleges in the West Midlands, including first, middle, primary and specialist colleges, cementing its reputation for academic excellence.

Employment opportunities

The University of Worcester has become a highly acclaimed centre for teacher training in the region and plans are afoot for expansion and development benefiting schools and teachers.

With 30 new Primary and Secondary schools opening in September 2007 in the Wyre Forest area of the county, future employment opportunities both in Worcester and the bordering Kidderminster, Stourport and Bewdley areas will be created.

Excellent transport links

Set in the heart of England, surrounded by quaint market towns and villages, the River Severn, the Malvern Hills and the woodlands of the Wyre Forest, Worcester has become a popular historical and picturesque city in which to live and work.

With easy access to the M5 and two railway stations offering transport links to Birmingham and London, Worcester and the surrounding area offers modern convenience alongside tradition and countryside.

Hays opens Worcester office

The Worcester office aims to provide a local, specialist recruitment service working in partnership with schools and teachers to not only provide teaching jobs  that suit individual requirements and circumstances but also to support schools in recruiting local teachers to cater for all their recruitment needs.

Claire Chapman, Office Manager at Hays Education, adds: “Worcestershire has a strong reputation for academic excellence and having a dedicated office in the city will ensure that we can help teachers to make the most of this.”
