Accomplished Policy Lead with a Masters of Public Policy and Management and an exceptional 5-year track record delivering a broad array of policy and strategy initiatives within the Office of the Fair Work Ombudsman, Australia’s Federal Workplace Relations Regulator.

An impressive progression through the policy ranks, working up from Graduate Policy Officer role to her most recent position as Senior Policy Officer of the Small Business Strategy team, with the responsibility of leading a team of four direct reports. The team’s key focus was ensuring Australian Workplace Relation Compliance Policies were fair and measured for Australian Small Businesses and did not create unnecessary barriers to business success.

Duties within this role included developing relationships and engaging with key stakeholders; establishing clear plans and timeframes for projects, detailing specific activities to be undertaken, and successfully driving implementation to achieve quality outcomes; writing briefs for the CEO and reports for key external audiences; and developing an agency wide Small Business Strategy.

Key achievements include developing and implementing a policy which increased successful outcomes by 180% and led to the recovery of approx. £700,000 (equiv.) to Australian employees that had been underpaid by their employers, and being selected as a Senior member of the agency’s newly established Behavioural Insights Community of Practice, tasked with developing and implementing the agency’s Behavioural Insights strategy.
