A Project Engineer with extensive experience leading equipment upgrades/new plant installations and trouble-shooting dips in plant performance (returning to efficient operation). Another part of his role has been implementing cost-cutting measures across various plants (improving technology and implementing Lean methodology).
The vast majority of this candidate's experience has been in fast-paced, high volume manufacturing environments dealing with plants running 24/7. He started his career as a maintenance technician before climbing the ladder within engineering projects, so he has a 'hands-on' approach to his work and can get his message across to workers on the shop-floor and in the board-room.
This candidate's strengths include:
Good time management and organisation skills
Keeping projects on track and delivering them on time
Good communication skills (including listening skill)
Broad-based experience (can lead a project, design and specify a new machine or pick-up a spanner)
This candidate is looking for an interesting Project Engineering role. They are open-minded as to whether this is in a single-site role or across a number of sites in the UK/Europe.
