    This candidate has a multi-faceted background comprising of Design, Buying, and Product Development. This candidate understands the language and methods of design because they studied a Masters in Product Design, where they studied product development, brand strategy and marketing, rapid prototyping and customer profiling. From here, they entered Buying through Product Development roles where they worked with ceramics, glass, textiles, jewellery, gifting, clothing & accessories, homeware and home textiles. This candidate has now just been made redundant following the restructure of the company and the inclusion of her department into the main business.

    This candidate has an excellent positive attitude and comes across warm and friendly whilst being very knowledgeable about their work. They are a commercial Product Developer and Buyer – this candidate analysed previous season’s sales and profit performance, worked closely with the design team to generate new fresh concepts and signed off on packaging design proposals and production. This candidate benchmarked and undertook competitive shopping by conducting regular Far East development trips and European shopping/inspiration trips including Ambiente, Maison et Objet and Nuremburg. This candidate has worked closely with the in house design studio ensuring they adhere to the product briefs they set. She has also mentored Trainee Product Developers. Implemented and attended weekly trade updates where all relevant KPI's were driven, identification of an appropriate purchasing strategy for relevant categories that eliminated all associated risk whilst identifying opportunities for growth. Outputs were presented to Senior Management Teams during sign off periods.

    In regards to Marketing, they oversaw the visual representation of product, designing Free Standing Display Units and in-store visual marketing plans. They worked on pagination, forecasting and budgeting of seasonal mailing plans. They liaised with the marketing team to ensure all product campaigns and launches were managed correctly through Google Shopping and SEO. This candidate also has experience in styling, working closely with publication teams to brief photography, attended location shoots and styling product and models.
