Salary required; £23k or above
This candidate demonstrates commitment and passion for practice; his current role is to manage a practice of seven staff members providing services to over 400 clients.
He is clear and effective in his communication and feels that this is instrumental in his success in building excellent working relationships with clients on many different levels. He is organised and self-motivated and has extensive experience in leading junior accounts teams within a practice environment.
Providing bookkeeping and accounting services for clients varying from sole traders and charities right through to large Ltd companies, specifically;
• closing month and year end accounts
• taking accounts from cash sheets to Extended Trial Balance
• preparation of Profit & Loss & Balance sheet
• tax computation
He also runs weekly and monthly payrolls and RTI submissions as well as preparing and submitting P35 at payroll year-end. In addition to this he also has clients requiring CIS monthly submissions and monitoring.
He undertakes frequent site visits to clients; whilst on site his role includes inputting data into their various bookkeeping systems, such as SAGE, TAS and Excel spreadsheets. He is also responsible for Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger, reconciling bank accounts, preparing and managing departmental accounts and producing journals to departments or nominal codes when required. Further to this he also prepares and monitors management accounts and cash flows providing support and advise for clients regarding their current financial positions.
