A proficient, hands-on mechanical design engineer, backed by almost ten years’ experience in the construction machinery industry. He came through the 4-year JCB apprenticeship route into engineering, working initially in the JCB workshop for 2 years, before being offered a position in the design office, a role that he made his own and thoroughly enjoyed.
Since then, he has completed a variety of design projects with JCB, ranging from their backhoe loader and excavator range (6.5 – 50 tonne machinery) in the UK, to their military conversion products in the United States and powertrain after-treatment systems in Shanghai.
His skills range from sheet metal design, composite design, surface modelling, design for injection moulding, pressings/mould design and hydraulic system design, amongst others.
He is immediately available to start work, and is looking for a reasonable starting salary of £35k. He has two first stage interviews confirmed already, so is unlikely to be available on the market for long.
