Researching, publishing and presenting to the New Zealand Association of Economists a position paper articulating how The Treasury thinks about and measures its vision of "higher living standards for New Zealanders”. This paper, presented to the OECD in October 2011, generated extensive public debate about the goals of public policy and has placed The Treasury at the forefront of international efforts to develop better measures of societal progress.
Representing New Zealand in negotiations on human rights resolutions at the UN Human Rights Council and building support with like-minded countries to ensure key resolutions reflect our views.
Leading the High Commission’s research, analysis, advice and public affairs campaign on UK immigration policy and its effects on New Zealanders. This work has meant our concerns are understood and addressed by UK Government Ministers and officials.
