Floor Manager
October 2014 - present

My main focus of this role is to make sure the floor is running smoothly, seeing the issues and tackling them head on. This role is a lot more varied as not only do I have things to do on the floor I also have to use such programmes as Torex, RJ, and the basics likes outlook, Microsoft office and excel. These are so I can do the different reports we have for checking stock, checking our fast selling lines. A lot of plans come down from head office so I have to print them off and action them.

January 2011 - October 2014
Supervisor

As a supervisor I would be in charge of running deliveries, opening up and closing down the shop, dealing with any staff issues and was the first to deal with any customer complaints. A main part of my role was to merchandise the store and any new ranges that came in I had to make a feature of them. As part of the role I was also sent on a three week management training course where I was told about all the policies and procedures as well as putting what I had learned in to practice in a few of the training stores. With this role as well I got to support at other stores in my area and was quite frequently sent to help with any management absences, any merchandising and to help train other members of management.
