Assistant Headteacher: SENDCo/Inclusion - Primary School

An innovative, flexible and enthusiastic primary school Assistant Headteacher looking for a role in a school that can offer opportunities for career development in senior leadership. A “crucial” part of Senior Leadership as acting head, acting deputy and now as an Assistant Headteacher in a primary school. Current areas of responsibility are KS1, whole school interventions and SEN.

-Created new topic based curriculum, working very closely with families and outside agencies
-Identified the need to develop the delivery of phonics, wrote an action plan and implemented actions
-Supported the SENDCo in previous school and implemented a change in the recording of the learning journey for pupils with complex needs
-Active member of SLT and supported the Headteacher and governing body with the implementation of the school development plan
-Arranged discussions with class teachers to identify children that needed additional support
