I met with the candidate last week when he approached Hays to discuss his current situation in regards to finding new employment in the local area. I was very impressed with the candidate’s range of experience and his extensive skill set, certainly ones that can easily be transferred into a sales role.
The candidate has been employed for the last ten years by a Lancaster based Travel company and has worked his way up from Travel Consultant, to Business Account Manager and most recently Manager. Unfortunately due to changes in the organisation he has been made redundant and is now seeking his next challenge in a sales driven role, ideally an Account Management or Business Development position.
The candidate described his last role as extremely sales focused which presented him with varied day to day accountabilities and responsibilities, including management, staff training, travel sales, managing and nurturing existing client portfolios and winning new business at every opportunity. He described how moving forward he would like to secure a similar position that offers him the same job satisfaction and ideally a role that offers OTE.
The candidate is available to start a new role in September and I look forward to placing him in his next position.
