The Charity Finance Directors’ Group and Hays Salary & Employment Survey

The Charity Finance Directors’ Group in partnership with Hays is delighted to present the findings of our recent salary survey of accountancy and finance professionals in the charity sector.

This 2009 publication is the second of our  salary &  benefits guides and we sincerely hope that you find the data informative. The data was gathered  by Hays  from over 500 respondents  and as in last year’s report, the salary information is provided by the size of charity, under £1m income, £1-£5m income, £5-10m income, £10-£25m income, and charities with more than £25m income.

In addition to salary data, the report also includes up-to-date information relating to:

• benefits being offered across the sector (including flexible working)
• pension provision
• staff retention
• salaries outlook in the current economic downturn 
• what motivates you, as Finance Directors, to move on to a new position
