How can I register with Hays Healthcare?
Registration for a healthcare jobs is simple. You can register online or alternatively download an application form and send it to your local office with the necessary supporting documentation. If you are expected to work with children, young people or vulnerable adults, a disclosure check, via the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) will have to be undertaken before we consider you for healthcare job vacancies.
How long does it take to register?
This depends on how quickly we can arrange an interview with you to ascertain your suitability for work and run through the recruitment process and documentation required. Once you have completed the application form and we have processed the necessary references and checks, you will then be ready to start your new job in healthcare. How will Hays Healthcare work for me?
Hays Healthcare is a National Framework Agreement Approved Supplier of Medical Locums and Allied Health Professionals. We also have numerous preferred supplier agreements and contracts with the NHS, PCTs, HM Prison Service, local authorities, nursing homes, private healthcare providers and industrial/commercial organisations throughout the UK and Ireland.
As a result you will have first choice from a wide range of temporary and permanent medical, allied health and scientific job opportunities. We take the time to understand your preferences, professional interests and strengths then match your skills and requirements to our client’s needs, ensuring you are placed into healthcare job for which you are ideally suited.
How will I be paid?
You’ll be paid weekly, directly into your bank/building society account against an authorised timesheet. If you are self employed, you can be paid gross on receipt of an invoice, authorised timesheet and evidence of schedule D status. If you are not self employed, we will deduct the appropriate legal rates of income tax and National Insurance contributions.
Prior to your first assignment you will receive the “Starting your assignment with Hays” pack which will tell you everything you need to know about filling in your timesheets and getting paid correctly. We run a daily payroll system which will ensure that you are paid accurately and on time.
Who will be my employer?
You will have obligations to Hays Healthcare and to the organisation you are working for. In return, both Hays Healthcare and the organisation will have responsibilities to you. For instance, we would expect you to respect all of the client’s conventions and procedures (such as Equal Opportunities and Health and Safety), whereas it is the client’s responsibility to ensure that you are fully and properly inducted into their organisation.
What support can I expect?
Once you have registered with Hays Healthcare you will be allocated a dedicated recruitment consultant who will ensure that you have the right level of support throughout the registration process. They will work proactively on your behalf to seek suitable healthcare job and continue to support you throughout your placement.
